Review of In Cold Blood (1967) by Matt C — 24 Jan 2014
An excellent adaptation of the original novel, but then Truman Capote's classic story is so dramatised and so many licences are taken that the story pretty much leaps off the page anyway. It takes an odd tone, almost docudrama at times which is difficult to get your head around at times but when it works, it's really good.
The dramatic conclusion in particular is excellently realised and really ratchets up the tension of the doomed men.
