Review of I'm Not Ashamed (2016) by Bruce P — 21 Oct 2016
As someone who "walked out" this tragedy with Rachel Scott's family, I can tell you that if you ever wanted to meet Rachel, and get inside her heart and soul, THIS is the film for you. This is an honest, transparent depiction of a young girl's struggle to stand up for Christ in a hostile, emotionally dysfunctional environment and WIN! The film demonstrates that God can take ordinary fallen people and transform them into powerful instruments of grace and beauty.
Rachel Scott wasn't a "perfect" person. She was someone who God used to demonstrate His amazing grace to transform and empower a life that would touch the world with compassion, love, and the gospel of Jesus without fear, apology, or compromise.
Rachel lived a life struggling with the same demons we all face, but her death as a martyr inspires us all to take up the torch she carried and brighten the world with hope and courage!
