Review of I'm Not Ashamed (2016) by Gary M — 23 Dec 2017
Can't help but roll my eyes over the quibbling complaints from many of the critic's "I'm Not Ashamed is a surprisingly good low budget faith-based movie. As a bio-pic, after doing some research, I've concluded that it's much more honest than the vast majority that have been put out by major studios.
The same critics that gave rave ratings to Mask for being uplifting, attack I'm Not Ashamed for being exploitive and agenda driven. They are alike in so many ways, with the latter being much less sappy and stereotypical and the latter having the extra bells and whistles that come with a big budget.
In the end, both are worthy watches.
