Review of I Vitelloni (1953) by Jayson Q — 02 Mar 2008
This I really dug. I hate to say it, but I related to this in a big way, which certainly is a big reason why I loved it. I really appreciate that Fellini comes back to the ocean in practically all of his films.
It's always that unattainable freedom or advancement the character needs. Sometimes you have to jump in and swim. Other times you get thrown in. And others just sit on the shore and watch.
