Review of I Vitelloni (1953) by Elisa K — 04 May 2009
Solid early effort from Federico Fellini is an engrossing character drama that, while not on the level of his later masterpieces, stands above the usual Italian Neo-Realist fare through Fellini's budding sense of offbeat atmosphere and memorable visuals.
Maybe only a minor classic, but an interesting look at the early work of a filmmaker who would go on to do greater things.
