Review of I Vitelloni (1953) by Cathleen K — 04 Oct 2008
Another Italian reminiscence from the late revered director. I enjoyed Amarcord more, but there`s lots to love in this movie`s characters. And, really, that`s why you watch a Fellini movie, for the characters and how they interact with each other.
I would have much enjoyed the film more if the well rounded characters had more interesting situations to be a part of and things to do. Still, it`s a lyrical Italian poem from a gifted pen.
