Review of I Am Love (2010) by Maria Consuelo B — 18 Jun 2010
I'm somewhat hesitant to say this because I need to let this film digest. But my inclination is to say it's an unequivocal masterpiece. I'm still in shock at what I just watched. I've never seen such a staggering achievement quite like this.
With touches of Eyes Wide Shut and elements of Gus Van Sant, it's difficult to categorize exactly what this film is. Tilda Swinton again proves she is the best actress working today, as she is able to convey so much in so little.
This is definitely a film that will be around for a really long time. Technically flawless and emotionally acute, I AM LOVE is a rare feat in cinema.
