Review of I Am Love (2010) by David R — 06 Jan 2016
The message of this film seems to be "you can be wealthy, live in opulent surroundings with servants who actually dress and undress you, but still be utterly miserable". It's a message that often cheers me up, but why did it have to be delivered so slowly? To feel the emptiness of these characters' lives we have to watch cutlery being endlessly put on tables, people drifting up and down stairs for minutes at a time.
The sex scenes are more interesting but still much too SLOW.
