Review of Hush (2016) by Graham H — 22 Apr 2016

First off, go watch Hush, it's great. Most discerning horror fans know that at this point a successful horror film doesn't try and reinvent the wheel: we've seen everything already. What really matters is doing something smart and original with the conventions of the genre, taking something that works and tweaking it in new and interesting ways.

Director Mike Flanagan has done this twice now, first with the superb Oculus and now with Hush, a unique and economical spin on the home invasion thriller.
