Review of Hush (2016) by Cade H — 24 Apr 2016
Hush seems like any other home invasion thriller, where a women is by herself and a masked man comes to break in and try and kill her. The big difference here is that the leading lady is deaf and that changes up the whole game.
The film is smart and suspenseful as the lead tries to find new ways to survive and it really is like nothing else you have seen before. She still makes some of the classic dumb moves everyone does in a thriller but that was expected.
There are a only a few characters in the whole film so it is kept very concise and to the point and rarely ever lets its foot off the gas. It can be brutal and bloody at times but it never gets over the top.
Hush changes things up enough to make this horror/thriller worth a watch for anyone looking for a suspenseful ride.
