Review of Hush (2016) by Chris F — 15 Apr 2016
Hush is a well made and well executed horror thriller. Kate Siegel shines as a deaf and mute girl who is hunted. John Gallagher Jr. is very creepy as the psychotic killer. The film doesn't waste any time to jack up the thrills.
At only 82 minutes, the film has a nice fast pace. The film makes good use of the character's disability. The film creates some nice thrills. Director Mike Flanagen films the terror very tensely. The film had some unique moments.
The film isn't perfect. It doesn't completely reinvent the horror movie genre. Still, the film cranks up the thrills minute by minute. Overall, this film is a unique take on the home invasion thriller.
It is very tense and I definitely recommend it.
