Review of House on Haunted Hill (1959) by Richard L — 20 Jan 2012
It's a classic horror movie with an incredibly classic storyline of which there are now countless variations. The acting is good, the diversity of characters produces interesting group dynamics and there are some great twists based on ambiguities when contradictory assumptions the viewer has to hold in order to understand pile up.
The ending could have been less abrupt; it is quite sudden and disconnected.
