Review of House on Haunted Hill (1959) by Ken S — 15 Oct 2014
This William Castle B-horror movie starring Vincent Price as an eccentric man who invites some strangers to stay in a haunted house for money is decent enough for the Halloween season. It has a few too many twists in the goofy plot, but it works for the most part.
..basically the house is purported to be haunted and a couple use it as an excuse to try and murder each other no questions asked. I enjoyed it, it isn't terribly long, and it is a good old black and white horror film that is good for Halloween time, it has good horror moments and is not afraid to have some intentional humor as well.
