Review of Horsemen (2009) by Daniela S — 15 Jul 2009
Started somewhat promising, but then started going in the direction of a B rated Se7en. Very formulaic, once you've seen about 10 scenes between a constantly absentee father (Quaid) and snotty son within 30 minutes into the movie, ya kinda know who the culprit is.
Throw in a "red headed", rejected, chinese adopted child (an overracting Zhang) and it all falls together perfectly. The preachy, after school special overtones was just too much. And the Hollywood ending was, well expected of course.
It was very painful and towards the end I wanted them all to die...I was even willing to jump out of a window myself but since I was on the first floor it wouldn't have put me out of my misery, just give me a slight headache in the morning.
Pass this one up for sure!!!
