Review of Horsemen (2009) by Ceph J — 15 Jul 2009
I didn't hate it but it's worthless. Starts off well with Dennis Quaid (usually fun to watch) investigating a series of gruesome murders relating to the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. Suddenly, one of the murderers reveals herself to him and the movie goes downhill fast.
The movie is either badly edited or we have a lazy screenplay by Dave Callaham. I can't believe producers agreed to fund this movie based on the screenplay so it must the editor to blame for a lack of credible plot.
There's a sub-plot of Quaid as a widower taking care of 2 sons but not having enough time for domestic life. I guessed correctly how these 2 themes would relate. Flixster is wrong, the movie is only about 1hr.
25 mins. which is the best thing about it. I'd recommend it to an insomniac in a motel on a late-night Friday TV special.
