Review of Hollywoodland (2006) by Maribel E — 16 May 2008
A very well-done moody neo-noir with a standout performance from Ben Affleck. I really enjoyed how it combines the look of the 50s with a style of modern filmmaking. I also enjoyed that the story is about a murder mystery without any concrete solution.
Nice to see the parallels between Ben Affleck's carrer and how his role as George Reeves is played.
