Cary's fantatstic in his roll, and the entire supporting cast is stellar. Only Kate misses her mark by over-acting. I don't know if that was Cukor's fault, or if she was just being stubborn.
Overall, though, well worth seeing, even if it is very clearly a first run at the Philadelphia Story.
