Review of Hoffa (1992) by Tommy M — 10 Jan 2011
Danny DeVito's direction focuses mostly on Hoffa's job rather than his personal identity, but the screenplay and set designs help lift it to a level of solidity that many other directors have overlooked in the past.
Jack Nicholson never screws up any performance, and his portrayal of Hoffa is certainly no misfire, but it's hard to say just how original the performance is when compared to some of his other neurotics.
