Review of Hobson's Choice (1954) by James-Masaki R — 07 May 2012
David Lean's hilarious (yes, he made comedies as well) "Hobson's Choice", is a story about a shoemaker played by Charles Laughton and his 3 daughters. Something Lean was always great at was establishing compelling characters and places.
Even in his early works as this one. Underrated as a minor classic.
