Review of Highlander II: The Quickening (1991) by Andreas O — 18 Sep 2010
There are a few good scenes, there are some cool visual elements, I like most of the cast, and I like sci-fi near-future stories, especially with fantasy elements. The good in this movie, though, is overshadowed by painful cheese. If it had just been more fun. *sigh* The villain in the first Highlander movie was very over-the-top detestable, so Michael Ironside's character kind of fits the mold.
I'm not entirely sure I am a Highlander fan, so much as I like the concept. None of the films are all that stellar, and this one may be the worst of the bunch.
