Maybe this is about the inner voices you have? Maybe it's about the conflicts you have within yourself? Maybe it's about how we deal with pain in our own minds?

If you've been through something before then it's easier to deal with the second or third time. It should be that's how we deal with pain. We wouldn't do it again if we knew it would hurt again.

I think this film tries too hard. It was enjoyable, but brought about too many nagging problems I had with the issues. If a relationship is painful, you just "switch it off".
