Review of Herø (2001) by Richard F — 14 Aug 2018
The unconventional plot and the immaculate on-screen talent doesn't save Her from feeling bland. I felt that there were no stakes throughout the film, so the third act failed to keep me emotionally invested.
The performances were great. I actually believed that a man was in love with an operating system (luckily with the voice of Scarlett Johansson), and the camera work was beautiful. The main problem with this film is it's lack of substance.
