Takes its theme (too) seriously and is competently made, but is also a plodding rumination of big questions handed over to three dull, lightweight characters too small and uninteresting to carry what is basically a story without narrative.

There's skill and purpose in here, but after a while the lack of a "there" there makes it all seem pretty ridiculous.
