Review of Hereafter (2010) by Tom M — 05 Sep 2017
A rare mis-step of a movie by Clint Eastwood, trying to tell the story of three characters affected by death that could have filled three movies. The insult to the audience comes with tying them all up with an incredibly pat and silly ending.
With broad strokes questioning the notion of what happens when we die, the director paints himself into a corner and answers nothing because he runs out of screen time. It all would have worked better as an anthology film, Mr.
Eastwood.
