Review of Hell Night (1981) by Jack H — 31 Jul 2011
Hell Night is a creepy and atmospheric slasher from 1981. The main star of the film is Linda Blair, who did a whole bunch of cheesy horror movies in the 1980s, like Hell Night, Grotesque, and others. It also features Vincent Van Patten of Rock 'N' Roll High School.
I know we're supposed to root for Blair, but I was cheering on Van Patten all the way! The body count isn't very high, but it does manage to shock and creep you out during most of the scenes. The acting was all good and the building of the tension was great.
It's a fun movie, and I'd say it would be worth your while to buy it on DVD or VHS.
