Review of Hell Night (1981) by Paul N — 28 Dec 2008
A silly 80s horror flick that is basically Scooby Doo with a little violence thrown in. A group of kids pledging to a fraternity are forced to spend the night in a creepy haunted house, where they're hunted down and killed by the resident lurching mongoloid (their words, not mine) maniac.
Though the death scenes are kind of lackluster, the fact that you actually like these characters and find them funny (intentionally, occasionally) more than makes up for the lack of gore or any actual horror.
Fun stuff, best viewed with a whole crowd of people while drinking beer.
