Review of Hell Night (1981) by Clark P — 18 Jan 2008
Linda 'The Exorcist' Blair returned to the genre that spawned her career in this superior fright flick that was released post-'Halloween' craze. On a somewhat modest budget, 'Hell Night' uses every trick up the sleeve to effectively convey the terror of a group of teens holed up in a manor that holds a deadly secret.
Atmospheric, grisly and inventive, 'Hell Night' utilises Blair's likeability to carry the movie. And there is some light relief in the form of Vincent Van Patten and Suki Goodman. I'm just surprised Hollywood hasn't remade this one yet!
