Review of Heckler (2007) by William G — 22 Oct 2008
What starts off as a funny idea quickly devolves into Jamie Kennedy bitching and whining about why no one likes his shitty movies.
The film moves from being a documentary on hecklers and comics experiences with them, and into a mish mash of film critics and dejected talentless hacks (Joel Suckmacher) defending their boiled garbage.
According to this film, no one has ever made a bad movie, gee shucks you have to think about their feelings and like, why would you say a movie sucks, just because it sucks? That's like, so mean, every movie is amazing according to this films premise.
Also the ending is straight retarded, Kennedy bitches, whines and gets into physical confrontations throughout the near endless 78 minutes and then suddenly at the end (SPOILER ALERT!) he dumps a box of harsh reviews on a driveway and then lights them on fire, mumbling some garbage about how he's learned to get over it and not take it personally, but we don't see that in the film at all, there is no catharsis, no climax, nothing to show Kennedy has changed at all.
Really pathetic and pandering. Don't watch it.
