Review of Hatchet II (2010) by Sean C — 10 Oct 2011
Hey adam green whaz up I noticed you have a new film. I sequel to hatchet..... Well do to the overwellming popularity of hatchet 1 it only makes sense to make a second sooooo yea.
Being the only one out the group of my friends whom likes adam green and only one to watch his films I feel it important to defend him in every he does sometimes it is difficult but today it is do able.
Hatchet 2 picks up from where the last one left off. There is one person still standing from the grizzly murders of Victor Crowley. She has now gotten out of the swamp and is running back to the city that is completly hung over from partying from the night before. Including a nasty scene of a homeless man throwing up...
Well the woman has gone to the witch doctor from the first one, after a long drawn out discussion on what to do the decision is made toget a group of hunters and kill mr. Crowley. As we all know this simply means we can see some intense killing...
Now I really do not have a story for this besides......ADAM FLIPPING GREEN, yep that is about it.... I saw it once at moviestop and then ordered it on demand.
Now I enjoy giving adam green props so I will the open sequence that shows the actors name is kool making a swamp seem epic, ummm There are some intresting kills... I do not want to give anything away. When I review movies that I do not enjoy I have no problem saying scenes from it such as ass swords from Robo-G... I do not want to think of that movie any more but I can't it tortures me on a regular bases.
So I can't say that it is stylish because it is not, it really does not have enough substance to consume an entire film...
Final Verdict:Adam Green just find a way to make a Frozen 2 ( I do not care if it makes sense)instead of this bizzare Horror comedy. On that topic of comedy it is far to weird for a comedy aspect, I consider some of it amusing and see the effort of a comedy but I just do not seem to laugh a whole lot. 61% out of 100% just above that fresh mark without being on the boarder line.
