This is a very polarizing film. Its a cult classic to some, and lauded as a horrible directorial debut of Murphy by mainstream film critics. I enjoy it as a personal favorite for me, I embrace the culture of Old Time Harlem pre-gentrification days and watching it depicted in light hearted fashion.
