Review of Harlan County U.S.A. (1977) by Alex M — 14 Aug 2014
One of the best documentaries I've ever seen. Even though this was made in the 70s, the look at coal miners' lives and working conditions is just heartbreaking. Critics have often hailed this documentary as one of the best of all time, and I believe they are correct.
A must-see for anyone who loves documentaries in general or who loves seeing social issues being depicted on film. 10/10.
