Review of Hamlet 2 (2008) by Randall C — 25 Feb 2009

This movie floored me. The humor ranged from incredibly sophisticated to just plain stupid, and Steve Coogan was hysterical. In fact, everyone was funny. Elisabeth Shue was a trooper to put herself in this one, Catherine Keener was as funny as I've ever seen her, and Amy Poehler in her brief stint was hilarious.

And, oddly enough, the odd site gag was pretty damned funny. The guys with the harnesses were a riot, Steve Coogan falling thirty-eight times on his skates was hysterical, and the guy who shouted at the beginning of the play almost made me cry.

This is just a funny movie. And the play inside the movie is actually really great, too. See this movie.
