Review of Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) by Jeremy K — 31 Oct 2009
I don't feel like the writing process was really given that much effort, but the acting did help to make up for it. Both Danielle Harris and Ellie Cornell are great; they're real sympathetic, and you grow to care about them.
But there are several plot holes in this movie that are just difficult to buy into. Why is Loomis not hurt even worse than Michael is initially? Why don't police just take Jamie out of Haddonfield right away? And how did Michael manage to hold onto the back of a car with one hand as it drove down the highway WITHOUT ANYONE NOTICING?! Anyway, this movie is actually relatively enjoyable overall.
A pretty standard horror movie, but worth watching, especially the twist at the very end.
