Review of Halloween (2007) by Emmy E — 04 May 2012

I'm a big Rob Zombie fan. He knows how to make original, whacked out horror films with hilariously depraved characters. This Halloween remake starts really well and gives some real depth to Myers. It's also hard not to love the darkly funny opening scene with the more than slightly dysfunctional Myers family having one of their daily arguments.

It devolves somewhat in the second half becoming a bit rote and familar as it just goes from one killing to the next which is a shame as it kicks off so promisingly.
