Review of Green Room (2016) by Dmlyxcritic — 29 Feb 2020
Jeremy Saulnier's exciting, thrilling, backwoods violence film Green Room is one of the most simple, yet compelling movies you could ever watch. The plot is relatively straightforward, but how it goes from calm to **** crazy is enough to keep you hooked and curious up until the very last scene.
The characters are somehow relatable, yet the short runtime cuts off any character development. There are also too many implied scenes, and viewers have had to guess some character motivations. The dialogue also sounds vague, sometimes, but it makes up with the action that follows.
Overall, Green Room is a film that will shock, terrify and gratify you, long after the credits have gone.
