Review of Good Night, and Good Luck. (2005) by Tomasan — 15 Feb 2009
A well shot movie about early CBS broadcasting in America back when there was actual honesty in news. The film is very slow to say the least. I really liked it because it was like a history lesson for me as it familiarized me with events on communism and political movements that occurred early on in the beginning of T.
V broadcasting. I never really knew who Edward R. Murrows was, but this movie will give you a detailed look at his work as the head voice for CBS. It was directed by George Clooney and was shot in all black and white.
The actors were great, but once again, it is not a fast paced movie, so don't watch it expecting Clooney and Robert Downey Jr. to kick any ass or anything. Intelligent and interesting. 4-starz.
