Delightfully shot, moving and sweet, this 'modern fable' is one of the most interesting and emotive films i've seen all year. Crialese documents the plight of immigrants with breathtaking tact and skill.
Perhaps it's a little overlong and some of the metaphor is clunky, but overall this was a very fulfilling experience.
