Review of Golden Door (2006) by Toni G — 04 Jan 2011
Very beautiful, some gorgeous set pieces focusing on the within rather than the without. Good transition from the old world (Sicily) as spacious, wild, free across the treachery of the ocean to the new world (New York) where life is constraining, imprisoning, judgmental.
Characters never develop well enough to be more than two dimensional, but a fine piece nonetheless.
