Review of Golden Door (2006) by Sanders C — 04 Aug 2008
The first sicilians to enter New York, have to endure an awful passing then have to show themselves worthy of entering..amusing, especially the things the Sicilians believe to find in America, including rivers of milk and giant vegetables.
Some parts I found emotional and educational, others were just plain daft. I felt the soundtrack was misplaced too. The clinical way that the Americans sorted the new lives of the immigrants was fascinating yet sad to see.
Not bad, but ended with me saying...and?
