First off the movie is BEAUTIFULLY shot, framed, lit etc. and the dialogue, while very loose and broad, is still interesting to listen to. My only problem was that the editing of scenes were too unrelated and didn't have a consistent flow.
An un-chronological timeline works if the scenes after the other flow in terms of subject matter from the scene before (or after) to enhance what just happened. Not the same for this movie, scenes are all over the place and the audience is too busy thinking where this scene fits in the timeline than actually watching the movie.
A story IS there, believe me, but I think if the movie was edited chronologically the story would've been stronger and would've made MORE of an impact on Christine/Chelsea character development.
Soderbergh, the movie already looks good and the story is interesting enough, so try and keep it simple next time.
