My absolute favorite movie of all time, save for the poor casting of Martin Sheen as R. E. Lee. Jeff Daniels, Sam Elliot, and Tom Berenger give outstanding performances though. It is completely historically accurate, and has a musical score equal in weight to the movie's subject matter.
