Review of Gettysburg (1993) by Joshua D — 27 Sep 2012
This magnificent film describes the build up to and major events of the battle of Gettysburg. Whilst some would feel it is an overlong history lesson, I found it to be a moving and interesting account of the battle that not only brilliantly explains how the battle was conducted, but also does justice to the drama, characters (major and minor), issues and period detail.
Epic but with a human touch.
