Review of Get Carter (1971) by Lyle R — 24 Aug 2009
Excellent, gritty film about a British gangster who returns home seeking revenge against those who killed his brother. Michael Caine is outstanding in the lead role as the cold-hearted Carter who is anything but a one-dimensional character.
Violent but not over-the-top, this is one of the best gangster films I've ever seen.
