Review of Get Carter (1971) by Steve M — 08 Aug 2011
Only just watched this "classic" and thankfully it lives up to it's name. Slow pacing, lots of quiet moments and bleak locations all come together to give this film real power. I love how Caine can switch from a jolly old cockney to a murderous thug in the blink of an eye.
It seems modern day gangster films have gone in the opposite direction!
