Review of Get Carter (1971) by Michael S. Y — 28 Aug 2012
I'm happy to have finally got around to checking out the original film, having been at least a casual fan of the re-make for quite some time now. Michael Caine is like a force of nature in this, and Mike Hodges shoots the film with a style that I only recall in crime films of the '70s, nothing is glamorized, everything is given a cold almost documentary like feel at times.
Recommended.
