"Get Carter" is a 1971 British gangster film starring Michael Caine and directed by Mike Hodges. Michael Caine plays Jack Carter, a London gangster returning home to Newcastle to find out who killed his brother.
He is unremorseful, violent and stubborn, yet, you feel sympathy for him due to the death of his brother. The film lags for long periods of time and it's hard to connect with Carter. Personally, it's extremely undeserving of being among the greatest British films of all time.
