Review of Gerry (2002) by Adam G — 29 Aug 2008
I'm not quite sure what can be said about this film. It features two young men named Gerry who drive into the wilderness, go off walking into the desert, get lost and tragedy strikes. End of story.
There is minimal dialogue to break up the endless shots of the pair walking or climbing or shots of the sky and landscapes.
What the purpose of this film is anybody's guess. But other than the beautiful landscapes shot in Argentina, Death Valley and parts of Utah there is very little else here to hold your interest.
