Review of Gerry (2002) by Szymon W — 13 Jan 2011
I appreciate the blatant Bela Tarr influence and the stunning cinematography, but there's something lacking. It isn't that there is practically no plot--I feel like if Van Sant had made this in the nineties, without the expensive Boston boys (and their "script" full of "dude"s and endlessly empty dialogue), it might have been a little more worth my time.
