Review of Gentleman's Agreement (1947) by Scott F — 10 Sep 2010
People find this film dated, but I'm always able to watch it within the context of the time it was made, just post-war (WWII). When it first came out, accolades attest to the film's impact, and admitedly time has worn the shine off a bit, but not to the extent that many suggest.
Still a very solid film, with a strong message about subtle prejudice that seeps into the corners of all communities.
