Original and thought provoking, this sci-fi flick manages to be very innovative with a commonly used subject matter, and it raises very interesting questions about science and society with its gripping plot and intriguing characters.
It does suffer from inconsistencies, though, and its ending is rather unsatisfying, leaving us on a cliffhanger that is never relieved by a sequel.
